Helping people feel more confident, believe in themselves, focus on specific goals, and get ‘unstuck’ is something I’m deeply passionate about. We all go through times when we feel trapped in negative thought loops, overwhelmed by choices, or disconnected from our direction — and self-doubt naturally creeps in.
But self-doubt and constant worrying are learned patterns — and they can be unlearned and reset. When that shift happens, it feels amazing. Many clients are surprised by how quickly hypnosis helps them become more focused, grow in confidence and realise they are not stuck in the past.

Specific fears and Anxiety
Anxiety comes in many shapes and forms.
I work with people who have specific fears - for example a fear of flying or a fear of dentists, fear of success or fear of public speaking. Please get in touch if you want to discuss this further.
In most cases there is a distinct improvement after a single session, but I usually recommend a package of 3 in order tackle the root cause effectively and create lasting change.
It feels amazing to get over a fear that you thought you would be stuck with and it often triggers change in other areas of your life as a result of it, as you regain control and grow in confidence.

Phobias
People who have a phobia tend to say that they have had it their whole lives. Most people can’t consciously remember a time when they didn't have the phobia.
But babies are born with only two fears - the fear of loud noises and the fear of falling - which means that every other fear or phobia is a learned response mechanism, usually triggered by a traumatising event.
Phobias can significantly impair the quality of your life. Perhaps one of the worst components of a phobia is the out-of-control feeling. You may understand that your phobia is irrational or excessive but no matter how hard you try, you cannot get it under control. Some people feel embarrassed, some become reclusive and depressed.
The good news is that together, we can reset the response mechanism. You don’t have to LOVE the thing or the animal you are scared of — this isn’t about that. The goal is simply to remove the old alarm response so you can stay grounded and in control. For many this results in a much better quality of life and a sense of empowerment.

Unwanted Habits
Do you have habits that no longer serve you — like biting your nails, smoking, picking your skin, gambling, or negative self-talk?
These habits are often driven by subconscious triggers such as boredom, stress, or anxiety, and they’re reinforced by the meanings we attach to them. A common example is the belief that smoking helps you relax, even though it is a stimulant and doesn’t calm your nervous system in any way. They create a temporary illusion of calm by relieving nicotine withdrawal, but ultimately increase anxiety and tension over time.
Hypnotherapy helps reset the mind by reframing the thoughts driving these behaviours, so healthier responses become your new normal.

Bruxism
Bruxism — clenching or grinding the teeth — is often closely linked to stress and anxiety. For many people it becomes part of a cycle: we feel stressed or overwhelmed, the jaw tightens as an unconscious coping response, and the act of clenching then sends a signal back to the body that there is danger or pressure — increasing tension even further. Over time, this loop becomes automatic. It causes pain and damages - and in severe cases even loosens - teeth.
I experienced this myself for decades. After trying various mouth guards and dental solutions, I realised I wanted to address the underlying tension rather than just managing the symptoms. That led me to explore and develop a more holistic approach.
Clinical studies suggest that hypnosis can help significantly by calming the nervous system and changing unconscious behaviour patterns. Through hypnosis, we interrupt the stress–clenching loop and retrain the mind and body to respond differently — so your jaw can gradually learn to relax again, even in situations that once felt tense.
